Default Roon on Android Tablet

Am about to embark on my 'Roon journey'. Configured my NUC i7 with Linux and will be downloading Roon to control things thru a Bryston BDA 3.14.

I've not decided on which tablet/laptop to use as the interface with the system. Currently have a Chromebook laptop and use an Android based phone, but am thinking I would get an 8-9" Samsung tablet for the actual running of Roon. Am not opposed to getting an iPad, but have never been an 'Apple person'.

Anyone running Roon on an Android based tablet? If so, what are your thoughts? Pluses & Cons.
Thanks.

Ipad person here but I've also used PC for 30+ years. I think your making the right decision by using what you know. Roon/Digital will have a learning curve of it's own so no sense compounding the unknow by using a OS you are not familiar with. I love my Roon. Wish you the best in your journey.

I don't think it matters what mobile platform is used, Glenn. Even, hypothetically speaking, it wasn't available on Android, one could use it on an iPad/iOS, as Roon's interface is simple, intuitive, and easy to use. So from a from any practically-significant (which in "the real world", is usually all that really matters) perspective, it wouldn't matter in using it's functions and features. Here's an example: while I use Mac and iOS , the app I use for loading and curating content on my Astell&Kern AK 100 MkII is only an Android-based app. Does it matter in any practically-significant way? Nah.

I have (finally) have gotten to a place where I don't sweat the "small stuff" anymore, and this is "small stuff". Life's too short. Wish I had gotten to this place 40 years ago.

Cheers.

I've not tried it on an iPad, Glenn. However, it works well on Android tablets.

Good luck!
