I really like the Oregon head coach and quarterback, so I'll be pulling for them in the championship game.

It was a fun game to watch. Congratulations to Mariota and the Ducks!

I don't believe knowledgeable sports fans and lovers of college football dismiss Oregon anymore. Oregon has been too good for too long. East coast bias is real to the extent that most of the country is asleep when West Coast teams play, and the SEC's dominance has understandably (perhaps appropriately) dominated the conversation.

Having said that, I thought Oregon was a better team a few years ago. I saw this morning that the Ducks are favored by 7 over OSU, which surprised me. Ohio State looked awful good against Alabama. And I've heard the criticisms of Jameis Winston's postgame comments, but the fact remains that the game was competitive until FSU's rash of turnovers in the 3rd quarter.

The championship game will be a great game to watch--I just wish it was being played outdoors on grass.

At least the SEC is out of the picture!
