I listened to this today.
Endless joy it is!

My favourite version of these wonderful pieces.
Händel composed his Converti Grossi inspired by Corelli, also other colleagues did this.

, Diego Fasolis

Plenty of magnificent arias and recitativos.
3 discs of pure baroque bliss...

Is it twice as endlessly joyful as Pinnock's? That's how Presto values it in USD. I'm easily influenced by others' opinion. But $12 is still one great cocktail at my favorite watering hole.....

We really won't take you seriously if you don't have it in your collection!

I think Pinnock's version will already give you a nice idea about how great these pieces are.

I can't even get my retrievers to take me seriously, so I'm not harboring much faith that anyone here will either...

I was at a dinner party a few weeks ago and the host was playing (on his system; not performing) some delightful piano concertos that I could not place. They were Hummel's works performed by Shelley and the London Mozart Players. These are gems each and every one and completely off my radar.

The only thing I have on Chandos label prior to these is Jansons and the Oslo Phil Orch Tchaikovsky cycle. Exceptional sonics.

^^^^^Hummel is an underrated composer I like very much! Thank you for sharing these.

Listening to a composer you can always enjoy: Mozart - Piano Concertos K413, 414, 415
Freiburger Barockorchester, Gottfried von der Goltz
Kristian Bezuidenhout, fortepiano

Seen the pianist twice, each time a delight!

I have 2 versions of the C.P.E. Bach Cello Concertos, the other one being with Hidemi Suzuki.
They're equally fine, but the Suzuki might have better sound.

Mozart Piano Concerto No. 21, with Murray Perahia at the piano. The second movement to me is the most beautiful melody ever composed.
