Looking at a Volvo for the wife - Anyone have any input on the XC90 or XC70
I have been looking for a car for the wife. Been looking at Volvo's.
She likes the XC90 and XC 70. I actually like the XC70 wagon. Has anyone had any experience with these models? I have always thought that Volvo had a good reputation for solid build quality, and safety features. Any info would be really appreciated. Thanks

Hey Chuck,
They are safe cars and solid. Like many autos of this caliber maintenance issues will be important in the long run. I have a friend who drives nothing but Volvos and she swears by them. She has black C70 with 200,000 or so miles. No rattles, or shakes and is better than most new cars. |

The XC70, even the all wheel drive model, gets considerably better fuel economy that the XC90. These days, that is a major consideration.

I had a Volvo before- nice car and built like a tank. I bought it mainly for the safety features and reliability. I'd say it's a good investment.
