Default 1970 and 1977 Portos.

They need there own posts as they are very special.
I smoked a Diamond Crown Maximus #10 with a vintage 1977 Porto and it was a moving experience.

I collected Porto's from way back, but older, does not mean better, in all cases. I had a glass from the 1860's and it tasted like Orange turpentine. Very expensive turpentine!

The other side:
A 20 year Tawny will stand up. Very smooth. But they do not age. Ready to drink on day 1.
Anything under 20 years is uncivilized!

Don't forget the Maximus#10 Cigar , as it holds it's own and completes the occasion. A cold weather bonus!

We had a half-bottle of '07 Porto after a wonderful bottle of '99 of Chateau de La Tour last week and it was terrific. Looking forward to opening the next one. May try the '10.
