Looks interesting.
Speaking of films like this, check out the series Hard Sun on Amazon Prime Streaming if you haven't already.

From Christopher Nolan, it shouldn't disappoint, and it stars Elizabeth Debicki... .

This is the first time I’ve been in an Australian cinema in 2020!
This is the kind of movie that I’m going to have to keep rewatching - especially the final act. Take the final act on Inception and turn it up to 11. It’s easy to lose track of the different pieces of the action. Dialogue was really hard to follow - tough with a movie that has a lot of exposition and discussions of time manipulation. Not sure if it was a mastering issue. Or if it was because most of the actors were sporting beards [emoji51][emoji848]

Christopher Nolan - TeNeT
Saw it last friday...it will take a few views of the blu ray release to see if the concept of “inversion” is applied consistently.
There are some major jumps in the highly stylised and cerebral plot early on in the film...felt like blackouts at some point. A lot of crammed in exposé on the paradoxes introduced by said “inversion”. My wife and I both enjoyed the movie, but more for its incredible / genuinely original mindbending plotdevices and outstanding acting than for its paper thin story. It is a masterfull exercise in editing and filmcraft but maybe a little bit too smart for its on good. Recommended nonetheless and it screams for a sequel as one of the plotdevices, which I will not reveal so as not to spoil the movie, hints at a much longer timeline than the one depicted in Tenet. This could easily be made into a trilogy and as such the end is kind of “unfinished business” like unsatisfying. PS... John David Washington would be an excellent choice to play the next Bond Last edited by JemHadar; 08-30-2020 at 02:04 PM. |
