With Lou Levy, piano; Leroy Vinnegar, bass; and Shelly Mann, drums

What fantastic soloing by both Getz and Hampton. I only wish this could have been in stereo to hear the interplay more clearly, and that Hampton was a little more forward and better recorded.

Like you said, Hampton not well recorded, the rest is quite okay for a '55 album.

Marcin Wasilewski has been a resident at ECM for sixteen years. The American's lyricism, which is never raucous, is perfectly lined up in the piano inherited from Bill Evans and Keith Jarrett from the Polishman who always expresses himself economically. But it’s not only wisdom and recollection that we find here.
