Haven't specifically used a GZ32 but have used a couple of vintage 5V4GA, a very close equivalent. Usually paired with lower power output tubes, like 5881, 6V6, and EL84. I remember using one with 6CA7 for a bit. They worked fine. Didn't do much direct comparison vs GZ34 or 5U4GB.

I choked when I saw the price of the Decware big baffles....until I started pricing similar wood here: https://hardwood-lumber.com/countertops/
His baffles are 2 inches thick. I'm not sure that its necessary and its expensive.

If anyone is looking for an inexpensive passive preamplifier to use with your Inspire amp I recommend the Bellari PP532.

Floridaboy, if you are looking for open baffle speakers, you might want to look at caintuckaudio.com. They are high quality and Steve Deckert recommends them as well. They are discussed in the speaker forums blog in decware.com. I'm probably going to get a pair myself.

I made the small similar to Caintuck baffles for my F15s. I now made the 1 3/4 inch thick 36 x 29 x 19 inches. Its really was hard to believe how much this changed the F15s. Bass like I had my H frames connected! and bigger soundstage. If your in to open baffles you owe it to yourself to get a pair.
no affiliation with Lii Audio although it might sound like it LOL

I’m going to have to mock up a pair of those barrels for a listen.

Default Inspire 45/2A3 with volume control

The amp arrived Tuesday. Bypassing all the audiophool jargon, it is most excellent. I am easily driving Klipsch Heresy III's. But this is an amp that begs for full range Alnico single driver speakers to really sing. So, I will be calling Louis at Omega Speakers and ordering a pair of CAM's. IMHO, Dennis knocked it out of the park with this amp.
