My first racks were SolidSteel 5.5. They are excellent racks but are not adjustable. It s been hard to let them go, but I've decided to sell one to an AA member in mint condition with original packaging. I may sell the other.

I love the dura-aluminium cones used to decouple the shelves from the rack. The rack can also be filled with sand or shot pellet.

I have the SolidSteel WS-5 wall shelf for my turntable. I really like it a lot but I had to toss the aluminum cones. Using them sends so much LF feedback to my turntable that the woofers in my speakers and the subwoofer go nuts as soon as I drop the stylus. Instead of the cones I use 1/2" Sorbothane pads under the MDF board.

Mine was the standard cinder blocks and boards. I made the mistake of putting the Marantz tuner on the bottom shelf where my dog went and peed all over it.

Same here...cinder blocks, 2x4s, 1/2 inch pine. Painted up flat black I recall.
No animal incidents but there was the time when beer spilled into my health kit power amp spoiled the party.

I soon upgraded the rack to one made with cut/welded bed frame metal.

Default Milk Crates

I have got all of you guys beat. I used plastic milk crates permanently borrowed from a local supermarket. This did not last long because the weight of the equipment bent them and nothing would sit straight.
