On another note: Just to clarify, the triode amp gets @2.5 watts from 6V6s, the pentode amp @5 watts.
No wonder my 6V6's sound anemic in my Inspire KT-88 oversized trannies but strapped as a Triode. I can only enjoy 6L6's and larger (more powerful) tubes in it. Evidently this is proof my current favorite speakers are not that easy on the crossover setting though these are 98 dB's 1W/1M

I think that 5 watts is the lower end of power that is reasonable for speakers that are not designed to be compatible with low powered amps. Both Paul Klipsch and Dennis have opined that a good 5 watt amp is enough for most listening. 2.5 watts require some adaptation to success (near-field listening, low listening levels, higher efficiency speakers).

Default For you with 9 pin drivers.

A while back Dennis suggested I get a JJ ECC99 (12bx7) to try in my driver socket in my older model KT amp. It would require re-wiring the heater pins of the 9 pin socks (move 4or5 to 9 and jumper 4&5) Haven't gotten around to that tube yet but ran across the Soviet 6H6N/6N6P, their version of the ECC99. Interestingly it is wired like the 6922,6DJ8,6CG7 so no rewiring was necessary. Checked with Dennis and he said go for it. Listening to it now and I recommend you out there with 9 pin driver tubes in you amps give it a try. I had them shipped from the Ukraine for $2.50/. Not to much invested if it does not jive with your setup.

My DACT volume knob rarely makes it past 2'0 clock. With klipsch LS50
So far they beat out SED -C- EL34 and 6550, pope 6V6, WWII RCA VT-231, GL 6V6, preferred series KT88
Pretty impressive for my lowest power ouput tubes and hungry speakers

Sounds like I need to pick up some adapters and then pit my two Inspire amps against each other, the KT88 which can run pretty much any tube vs the SE EL84 which runs only EL84s. The KT88 output transformers must outweigh the EL84 OTs by 5:1.

Maybe a group buy for his loyal followers? Then again, if Dennis is 100% on its design I trust his judgement.... So fare I trust his ears and judgement.
Count me in if Dennis wants to build a run of phono preamps

If we get more support/Subscribers that are interested in Dennis Had products; I will become a dealer for them.

In return, I would then offer special discount pricing for his products in our Marketplace.

I could be wrong, but from talking with him, it doesn't seem like Dennis wants to get into the game that way again.

Oh, I subscribed today. Or was it yesterday. Anyway, I'm legit now.

Dennis seems to have cut a deal with Moon Audio for them to market his products. They are selling both his 6V6 monoblocks and his tube headphone amp. A bit different but not a lot.
