Thanks Guys....In one of the photos in post #5, you can see the box to one of my model airplanes. I can't tell which model plane the box went to, but you can see that the model kit was made by Revell.

I was really fascinated by airplanes as a youngster, and I still love airplanes-I'm especially fascinated with the giant ones. I have a 747-8 on my PC desktop right now.

Here's another backyard family photo of the same era, taken with my brother, sister and grandma....I'm not hard to spot, with my ever-present model airplane.

I've looked high and low for the original print of this one so I can scan it to a higher resolution, but can't seem to find it at the moment.

I used to build tons of model airplanes, and cars.

If I had time I would do it again.

When I was a kid, I built a Saturn V rocket. It really wasn't that complicated.

Younger years - the Tamiya motortized/remote controlled (wired) model tanks. Sherman vs Tiger - no contest. Sgt Oddball would agree.
