Glad you like it Serge...I was looking forward to your findings.
I'm impressed the PP2000 holds up with the Class A amps. Even at insane levels I cannot get the PP2000 to go into overload. I regularly check the incoming voltage...during the day hours it drops to 210 V which, for a european 230 V Power Supply in your audio gear, is outside the healthy +/- 10% bandwidth. At midnight the incoming voltage is a stable 230V. It confirms my initial findings that the PP2000 allows my system to play at the midnight "golden hours" level of performance all of the time. I'm glad Roger (my dealer) is letting me keep the demo-unit until the new one arrives. ...amazing piece of kit ...but now, I will also have to purchase its little brother, the PP700, for the MXA60 ...time to start printing some money |

Just a quick follow up. The PurePower has been on for the last 48 hrs or so continuously. There is a definite and evolving change in my system and I've noticed quite a difference in terms of bass. There is a noticeable increase in slam and bass response as well as macro dynamics overall have improved. There was a period of time yesterday when the system started sounding a bit on the lean side but it has disappeared and for the better part of the day today, the system once again sounds rich and full with an overall improvement in bass like I already mentioned. Funny, I didn't expect a power conditioner to go through a break in period and certainly did not notice any significant changes with either the RGPC or PS Audio products I have. This one is different for sure.

It just wants to be like those fancy racks that beerdraft is using...

Probably. It does have a better excuse though for changing the sound.

Ok, I've never heard of this either. So you what plug the pure power into a 20 amp circuit and you can run front end and mono amps off of it alone without separate circuits? You have got an extensive system and I find that hard to believe but is this what you are doing and still improved dynamics and all. If so, WOW, I need to check this out.

The PurePower so far appears to be in a league of its own. Yes, it can support all my gear. Yes the dynamics have increased beyond the RGPC stuff. It is a keeper. I understand you are using Running Springs power conditioners? Have you noticed a decrease in dynamics to be skeptical? |

As I have noted previously the PPP's are a conundrum for me. I like that they clean up the background a bit and they allow me to hear a bit more low level detail. At the same time they seem to reduce the pace/speed of the music, similar to what I saw when adding the C-1000 between my MCD-500 and the 1.2ks. Since I am very happy with my system as is, I am about done with tweaking for the time being. As far as RG gear, if I cannot say anything good..... Jim |
