Saw this in the local paper and thought it might be of interest. Will have to check it out. Tom

That seems like a good idea to me. Allow folks to bring in their own 'reasonable' music and can't take up space with your phone/computer while on headphones. Limit time to an hour if others are waiting. Maybe set a schedule......... 'wake up' music from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., classic from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m., jazz from............. etc., etc. Such a good idea that I wish I had thought of it myself 20yr ago when I was still an entrepreneur (retirement is sooooo much easier ).

That does look pretty cool, I think either Seattle or San Francisco already has a couple of bars somewhat like that. I read about that somewhere. Wonder what they would say if someone brought in some "Slayer". Ha!

There are also separate listening common areas and rooms outfitted properly at the Central Station Hotel in Memphis with even more material and also BYO setups...
All also designed and outfitted by Eggleston Works. |

I think this would be a fun thing to do. The Denver Listening Cafe has some nice gear too. Line Magnetic tube electronics and K-horns.

Wonder if one could work out arrangements with local (or not) brick&mortar vendors to provide the gear on a rotating basis. Biggest problem would be keeping the customers from setting/spilling their drinks/food on the gear and messing with the settings. As with everything real estate.............. location, location, location.

We tow our Airstream back and forth across the country to visit our kids in SF (9 trips in last 16 months - we love it). On one of our trips just before the lockdown we stopped at one of the listening bars while out walking around downtown one evening. Can't remember the name of it but it was a fairly large, older building with Klipsch La Scala AL5's and vintage McIntosh tube amps/pre amp. The sound in that room was absolutely fantastic. People were very quiet and respectful of others listening to the music. I liked the sound so well that I ordered my Klipsch Cornwall IV's for a second system based on that night. The so-called second system with Cornwall IV's is now my primary listening room (love it!) and my main setup is only used on movie nights. If you get a chance, by all means check out a listening bar someday. It's a fun and possibly enlightening experience.

Terry - am guessing that you think the MAC7200 is playing well with your CWs? They are very near the top of my list for new speakers.
