Never heard of replacing their resistors from anyone, be it dealer or factory. Ever
If it was a WA recommendation, why wouldn't they say it in their manuals?

Doesn't make any sense...
Please refer to an earlier post by Debbie Wilson of Wilson Audio. Most cable manufacturers do not say to clean contacts either, but when you clean out oxidized crud from pins & connectors, you can hear a difference. Is it an absolute necessity? Probably not, but maintaining your system does have its sonic benefits.

Cleaning external wire and connector surfaces wouldn't have any effect on a soldered joint except to make you feel better.

Theoretically, neither does having a dedicated power line, a conditioner, well designed power cable, interconnects or SC have anything to do with a soldered joint, but you can hear a difference. Perhaps one should try it before knocking it, just saying.

Maybe some ppl prefer the raw sound of the brand new resistors, before they break in and settle ? The sound of most electronic componoents (resistors, capacitors, even cables) changes after the first 200-300h. Most people perceive the change to be positive though.

Hard to find another explanation

You have too much time on your hands. Cleaning leads on soldered joints is useless.

There is a sharpness to the sound of new whatever that tends to smooth out when break-in occurs. If your hearing is real good with young ears this smoothing is preferable. If a listener has old ears and high end loss they may prefer new sharpness to broken-in smoothness perhaps.

Does anyone know where to source resistors that will work or the resistors Wilson uses in the Sasha?
