Hello dues how are ya????
Im the experiment type and Im wondering has any ever tried to take an AUDIO reel to reel tape and put it IN A VHS CONTAINER and tried to listen to it with a VCR?? The only thing I can think of that might be a problem is the speed the reel to reel was recorded at... (As you know MOST VCRS can only sync to 3 speeds (SP,LP and SLP) and the reel to reel MIGHT NOT BE @ ONE OF THOSE SPEEDS) Just something I was curious of.......... I dont see any reason it shouldnt work (Less that) |

There are several reasons why it won't work. These are the most obvious.
VHS is 1/2" and R2R is, at least for commercial and home use, 1/4" tape. The length of tape in a VHS is very short compared to R2R. There is no compatibility on speed or anything. The VHS head also spins and reads the tape in oblique sections across the tape, in contrast to R2R heads which are stationary and read the tape in a pure horizontal direction. |
