My talking comcast xfinity remote won't work with my Rotel receiver.
What are my options for talking remotes compatible with comcast cable? With a talking remote I can say "the walking dead" and the DVR or On Demand just snaps to the walking dead options. I never need to remember channels or scroll to find what time it's playing. They don't work with Rotel, nor Anthem. They might work with NAD though, and they do work with Denon and Marantz. Holding 2 remotes (TV/Cable and one for the volume receiver) for the main living room isn't going to work with kids, I can barely find the one. |

I use the Harmony Elite Remote + Echo Dot for my system and tell Alexa to Watch TV, Watch Smart TV, Listen to Music, etc. She can turn my system on/off, adjust volume up/down by various levels, mute, change channels to any station I want, favorites, pause/resume/fast forward/rewind. Sometimes I don't use my remote for days and Alexa does the work. My cable provider is Cablevision but Harmony probably has functions for Comcast also. You can place various Echo devices anywhere so Alexa can hear you.
Works good for my needs. Ron |

"Alexa, TV volume up," or you can determine on how much to turn up/down by saying, "Alexa, TV volume up by 1." Ron |
