Trevor...Star Wars: Episode VII will be directed by J.J. Abrams (Super 8, Mission: Impossible III, Star Trek) and is being scripted by Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan (Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi).
Disney will be triumphant leading a renewed Jedi force. |

My sources in the U.S. tell me JJ is already doing great things! He's certainly no fan of the prequels! Fingers crossed! I wonder how many studios are going to bother releasing films at the same time and compete for box office sales against Star Wars? Check this out... This guy has got it spot on... Love the 4 Rules
To be fair I understand where Lucas was coming from. Ep4 took place after the fall of the (old republic) and that was during the pinnacle of its development so the tech was new and shiny. Too bad the rest of the story sucked.

JJ has hinted at reducing the amount of CGI used. Given this also killed the prequels I hope its true!

What! No space scenes? No spacecraft? No future cities? No aliens? What kind of a Star Wars is this? The biggest problem with the prequels were the dialogue, plot, and the older Anakin Skywalker. Not the CGI. That said, I liked the prequels, even if they could have been 'better'.

I have always been more impressed with Kasdan's writing for Body Heat, Silverado, Big Chill and Grand Canyon than anything besides Raiders that you mentioned. |
