Default Good Review / Read about 402e
Here is a good review of the Krell 402e. Even if one doesn't like Krell, it is a good read. It seems any rumors of Krell's troubles may be exaggerated, since they have come out with almost a 100% new line of products, and upgraded their other ones as well.

Thanks. I love reading about all sorts of gear, and while Krell is not everyone's taste, I have found them to be able to do some remarkable things with an audio signal!

Do you know what the cost would to upgrade from the 402 to the 402e?

I don't have upgrade pricing in my dealer price sheet, but I'd venture to say quite a bit.

I splurged a bit this week and bought a Krell 403e for my HT system. Hopefully, it sounds good, I didn't get a chance to demo it but based my previous Krell amps I am pretty confident that this monster will be good.

Thanks guys. I received my Krell 403e the other day and it is a monster. I have never seen an amp this big and heavy. My other Krell amps look tiny in comparison. It definitely sounds better than the 450 MCX monoblocks, particularly in the mid range area. Overall, it has smoother sound but still has the bass control Krell is known for.
I thought the amp would run cooler but I was surprised that it's even hotter than my old amps.

I am going to watch my first movie with it tonight.
