Just to follow up on this thread and all your recommendation. I moved the speakers out to 8ft apart and 7 ft from tweeter to ear. I also put moved the shag rug to the end of the room so the speakers are resting directly on the hardwood floor.
The improvement has been dramatic-much more life in the room, the bass is smooth but not overpowering and details are more coherent. Thanks to all who chimed in with your great suggestions. |
