Smooth and not a tinge of harshness even for files. Ive posted pictures of my system in another thread so won't be doubling this here. Retirement had never been so busying exciting for me ... listening to music everyday. Looks like my plan to have a spare set of the Takatsuki 300B's is warranted.
OK some updates, know its been quite a while and my apologies for the delay as many things to sort out during retirement.
1. I've upgraded the Roon Nucleus+ internal 4TB HDD to a 8TB SSD. Any listenable/audio difference, if there is I can't tell.
2. I've also upgraded most of my music library (those that I loved) from 44.1/16 to 96/24, 192/24. Yes, it does costs a bit, but the end result is so much more musical.
3. The Lux D-10x is a superb machine. Ive been using the DAC to process the Roon Library music and I must say, it is really good. I don't think I can say this - but now I do. I no longer look for a new SACD/DAC anymore. I just listen to music and enjoy it.
4. The CD/SACD performance is also spectacular. It may not costs more than a dCS Rossini combo or even the Esoteric one box K-01XD, but I do not care anymore cause the music I am enjoying today made me realised I may have reached my musical goal where I do not want to splurge anymore on equipment changes.
In short, I think I have hit audio nirvana today with my humble setup. Everything seems to fall in place and proof is I no longer read magazines, reviews or even look at NEW gears releases and reviews. Everyday, I just sit down and enjoy the music. I guess that's what its all about. Meanwhile, I am freeing up time to look at other interest. Music never sounded so good! The Lux player is really THE one gear I would encourage friends in this forum to listen and explore. Its really that good.
Cheers!
