Presto offers great prices on boxed sets in time for Xmas shopping. I have my eyes on the 108-disc Solti/Chicago Symphony Decca set.

I agree friends, the Beethoven Symphonies are some of the best classical works ever written.
I also love to have various interpretations.

Listening to:

Weinberg - Chamber Symphonies Nos 3 and 4
Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, Thord Svedlund

Wonderful, and a bit more accessible works than what I played earlier this week.

3rd disc in the Fischer-Kreizberg set.
I think the other 2 are a bit better.

Great idea!

I'll have to break this out, it has been a while since I have placed this in my player.

Default What Classical Music Are You Listening To Tonight?

I enjoy Classical, however, do not listen to it all that much and honestly can’t tell myself why but when I do its mostly string.

I stumbled onto this and when it came up, I just stopped, sat down, listened and relaxed, the piano was mesmerizing for me.

I don’t know anything about Fazil Say, but do find his interpretation of Chopin simply amazing.

Any other recommendations, I am all “ears”.
