Been down this road in my career in corportate Biotech, not once but...three times. Here's what I've observed: the execs "cash out" and bank millions. The scientists and engineers that do all the "hard work" in creating the IP, the core competencies and capabilities, technologies, products, develop the "customer install base", and are instrumental in creating the overall "value propoistion" of the company being sold off...get NOTHING. Except perhaps laid off because of "redudancies" when "re-structuring" while looking for "synergies" under the new management.

See how I've got all that "corporate-speak" down? Not my first rodeo...
