Default C1 and Confidence center
If bought togther would the CC be too much center for the Monitors?

IMHO . . . No.

1) With movies up to 75% of the sound can come out of the center, so it needs to be a serious center to be good. Any sensitivity issues between the different speakers can be sorted out by the processor.

2) Also, when listening to 2-channel, the center wouldn't be on, so it wouldn't be a factor.

A C2 II would be ideal, but the C1 II should be fine, I think. You could always get the C1 II and CC II now, and get a C2 II later if you wanted though.

Even if it is an issue you should be able to adjust the CC volume level on your AV8003, right?

Another really viable alternative would be the Contour SC or SC-X Center. Many C1 or C2 owners use these as centers for their Dyn systems. Also, Mick of Dyn NA also gives this combination a big thumbs up...

The SCX uses the same Esotar 2 tweeter as the C1 and C2 does.
I use the SCX and it is a nice match.
