tightness will hold for ever as the screws remain under the same tension (they are all secured with loctite glue)

I wouldn't touch the speakers personally, Toga. This is a job for the dealer or an authorized service agent only. Last edited by kev313; 06-12-2014 at 08:46 AM. |

It is confusing to me the more I think what caused this.
With some science and engineering basic. I think what wrote last time may be wrong. 10 degree C. Variation means nothing for metal point of view. The size change will be Negligible. Or may be temp variation cause expansion on the silicone sealant itself ? Or volume change of internal air ? But by laws of gas, the volume difference between 24c to 34c is about Only 3% and the spring motion of drivers should be able to absorb slight internal air expansion right ? The vibration and pressure changed caused by sound wave and moving air inside is much more severe Than any of the above I think. Oh also, notice from the aircraft skin where outer fuselage skin pieces are riveted too, And they are subjected to routine temp changed between -70c to +34c for the life time of 30 years. And they never become loosed. 10 c changes for Aluminum speakers should not be something to be worried at all. But please allow us some time to do it, and I will report. I am not too kind to anyone, but I have to be reasonable. For Porsche, yes there are a few German technician Work full-time in Porsche Center Bangkok. But for a Niche and small company like high end audio company, we will Have to do it in a different way. But of course if my speakers are about to falling apart I will sure asking for a full refund or a replacement. But what happening here is far from that. So we have to solve the problem start with the easiest way first. If problem persist, then we do the next step. Toga |

On the other hand, my S5s appear to stay at room temperature, which at its worst will vary +/- 10 degrees over the day. While I am sure aluminum will have some sort of expansion/contraction ratio on a micro level, I doubt if it is worse than wood, or other type of cabinet material. However, now that you have bought this subject up I will certainly be keeping an eye on this. Although I suspect my blasting the speakers on Friday and Saturday night is probably doing more to loosen the drivers than the temperature variance.

Magico Q7 frame work consists of over 100 pieces of aluminum, copper, and stainless steel held together with over 650 fasteners.

Why concern about a few fasteners, we frequently stepping into airplanes which are constructed with thousands of rivets.
Don't let it spoil your fun with the Q7's Toga, let the dealer clean it up as per Magico proposal and get it over with. Olaf
