I Use Krell 300i in my system at work. 300i drives Sf Guarneri Memento with good dynamics and control. Also it makes the truth came out of the music in a way I like it. I'm sure it will fit into your system as well.

Keep it well ventilated. I have mine in a cabinet and even when it is in Standby it generates a lot of heat.

Will do. Placed on a Finite Elemente Pagode Signature amp stand.

I know. :-) You gave me the idea actually! I figured we have similar speaker tastes and if you enjoyed it, I would give it a try.
It only has 6.5 hours on it at this point, so I want to give it some time before I really make any judgements. So far, I really like the neutral sound.
Definitely NOT a thin or edgy sound. I tend to like tubes, so I was a little apprehensive about trying a Krell as I had heard and read many differing opinions. Some thought many of Krells other amps sounded thin and sometimes shrill. I am listening to Janos Starker Bach Concertos in 24/176 right now and I honestly have not owned an amplifier that seems to disappear as well as this one does with my current system. So far, so good...Kind of feel like I stole it for what I paid for it on close out.

That makes sense. ML has always sounded very detailed to my ears and the two together may be a step too far.
My Sonus Faber Guarneri EVOs have a rich and slightly dark presentation to start with, so it seems to my ears like they balance each other out nicely.

A little late to the party here I guess, but I have been running a s300i for a couple years now and really enjoy it paired with my ProAc D40r's. I think it performs well above it's price point. Eventually I may replace it with a separate preamp/power amp combo, but I don't feel a need to do that in the immediate future. And when I do it the preamp will have to have a DAC built in to make switching digital sources easier than my current setup.

I did have one issue where the volume dial on the unit itself stopped working (remote volume control still worked OK), but it was fixed fairly quickly under warranty when I sent it in and has been otherwise fantastic.
