The way things work for RecComp is described in the introduction to each edition.

Krell FBI was also Recommended Component.

Anyway Krell nowadays have no the same popularity after Dagostino left the company. If you want Krell you want Dagostino styleso you want Dagostino electronics

Because an older component is not listed with the current models being sold certainly does not detract from the quality of the sound.

I am however, disappointed in the way Krell forced D'Agostino out and look to audition his new products if and when I upgrade from my current Krells.

Stereophile or not, Krell's amp are my favorite, there is no doubt about it
(specifically the 402e)
I am looking forward to the day, when it can be announced proudly in "My first Krell" thread

The only problem is the enormous price, especially in my country.
At least I have a dream to live with…

I may have one soon you might have an interest in. I have a spare FPB 300c. I am using it while my monos are being re-worked. Where are you from?

Also, it always surprises me how often questions about why Stereophile does (or does not do) something are posted on forums like this one rather than on Stereophile's own forum where the editor will likely respond with an answer, rather than with speculation.
Good Point. Someone is going to make a good deal of money once forums are standardized and share user details. Facebook is leading the charge, but I know there is much risk aversion there.

Right now, I appreciate that this forum (or topic) was important enough to you (and Stereophile) that it requires a rectifying response.

Thanks for the nice offer, Robert, but I live far away in Israel

Anyway. I rather purchase a new unite, with five years warranty , installation and full support from the local dealer...
