Arrow Krell 707 evolution AV preamplifier

Hello,

I´ve recently purchased a 707 evolution for my system to be my multichannel AV preamplifier. I was using a Meridian 861 v6 for this function since 2010. The v6 is a great preamplifier. However, I had too many problems with it. The local Meridian dealer is terrible and I had no decent support in any moment. My unit had the same problem more than 2 times and took months to be fixed. Although I think it is a great product, it is not match for 707. With my new krell, I got better sound quality in stereo and multichannel, easier setup and better support from the local dealer. I lost a lot of money with this change. However, I saw a real improvement from what I had. Are there other persons here with similar stories?

Best regards,

Renato

Congratulations on your new Krell!
I almost went with 707, but I preferred 2 HDMI outputs. I ended up getting Foundation and Phantom. It would be interesting to see how the analog section of 707 compares wth Phantom...
I'm sure the processor section on 707 is superior to Foundation.

The Krell foundation was a possibility for me. However, I wanted a "one box solution" for stereo and multichannel. I´m happy with the results. I have now better sound quality, even in a burn in process.

No. I´m using transparent cabling to connect my 707 to my McIntosh MC207 and to my Accuphase E-560.

Any news in the US on these amps. We have lost the Evolution, have rumours of these amps being replacements or possibly not? Has anyone actually seen the release version or heard them?

I have heard rumors of a "reference" series of iBias amplifiers that may be introduced in 2015. Since the first wave of iBias amps are just shipping, it will be interesting to hear opinions and see technical reviews.
