Default Wireless..............?

Have been surfing around looking for a pair of over-ear or on-ear wireless headphones, like the Senn HD-1. However, I'm finding that most, like the HD-1, have all sorts of 'crap' (to me) features I do not want to pay for (microphones, Apple or Android connection, etc.). Features that I won't/don't use. Just want good sound via Bluetooth. Any suggestions on what has worked well for you?
Thanks.

I use the Monprice over ear noise cancelling headphones for work.
They are only 55.00 and work well.
The sound is good but not reference.
They are cheap but not cheaply made.
If I break them while at work I can afford to buy another one with out stress.

Am thinking more along the lines of the Beyerdynamic Aventho or Sennheiser Monentum (may no longer be available). However, the McIntosh BHA50 or CEntrance BlueDAC may do what I want (wireless/portable) with my Senn HD-650s so won't need another set of headphones. Still researching.

For anyone else interested in wireless audio, this article may be useful.
https://www.androidauthority.com/blu...plored-750473/

My current thinking is a Shanling M3s (made in China - ugh) DAP. Seems to cover all the bases and able to drive my Senn HD650s.

An update to the first link above. Doesn't take long to fall behind (am talking about me ) in the digital realm.
https://www.soundguys.com/aptx-adapt...plained-18768/
The latency issue with either aptX or aptX-HD should not matter for music (at least for me) as I don't/won't watch video, especially on a hand-held sized screen. Will spend some time finding an aptX-HD (highest bit-rate) device before springing for the M3s.

And, if you like the Grado sound, they have a new set of wireless coming out:
https://gradolabs.com/headphones/wireless/item/74-gw100

For my purposes, am hoping that the advances with aptX-HD and its use for wireless music will result in some of the headphone makers (Senn, Audeze, etc.) putting out higher-end wireless models without microphones and the other BS that are not needed for listening to music. Only controls I would want are a mute & on/off (which could be automated).

The FiiO M7 not only has aptX-HD, but FM radio. Single Saber DAC chip compared to the dual AK DAC chips in the Shanling M3s. Single-ended output in FiiO M7 compared to balanced & single-ended with the Shanling M3s. Hmmm..............

Review of the M7:

Picked up a set of AKG Y50BT, which are not only 32ohm impedance, making them portable amp friendly, but are also Bluetooth aptX capable, so can test wireless. When the Y50BT were first fired up I feared that I had made an $85 mistake. Terribly ragged sounding at even moderate listening levels. However, just a couple of hours of play and they are now listenable. Hoping they continue to improve.

After ~48hr of burn-in the C50BTs are considerably better. Seem to be a good match to the M3s. Got 4+ hours of playing while plugged in. Am now running the Bluetooth aptX connection and either they are continuing to break-in (as could be the M3s, as well) or the Bluetooth is better than the cable that came with them. That it could be the cable would not be surprising as it should retail for about $5. The sound is a pleasant surprise for $85. Comfort is good if not great. A bit too tight as a 'head clamp', but could go away with time. The drawback is their limited range. When I walk from the living room into the kitchen on the far side of the frig the sound dies. Not a big deal as the M3s slips easily into a pocket for ambulating.

Using the Bluetooth aptX communication between the C50BTs & M3s am over 7hr and still going strong. Nice. The downside is my wife likes them so will likely appropriate. OK with me as she watches her foreign movies at 2 a.m. and wakes me as often as not. Just have to get them sync'd to her iPads.

While not as good as my wired (and pricier) cans, the B&W PX is really really good when I travel.
