Default New interface for 3.14?

I’m hearing Bryston is working on a new interface to replace the dreaded manic moose. As much I love the sound from the 3.14 I don’t like the interface.

Who said Manic Moose was dreaded?

There has been talk of a replacement "Nutty Narwhal" around various forums. Although Manic Moose is not as slick as some other apps, it's extremely stable and sounds great.
Continued evolving support of Qobuz is welcomed.

If you're using an Apple product to control your Bryston, I suggest you try Rigelian. It does some things nicer than Manic Moose, including e-z access to all of the Radio Paradise channels in FLAC.

I recommend Rigelian too, if you do a lot of local file playback or internet radio, but it does nothing for streaming services.

MM is okay if you use “artist view” and integrate with Tidal. Quite seamless but not as snappy as a native app with Spotify connect, for example.

Big +1 for Rigelian. With this little app I ditched my subscription of Roon altogether. It’s really neat and very simple to use. Unless it has changed, it’s only for the apple ecosystem though.

I was told that the Roon interface compromises the sound. Is that true?

In my experience, YES.

Roon does have a huge advantage of decoding MQA files/streams for playback on the BDP at high res (88k/96k) as mentioned here:

Some interesting comments about MM there too.
