A. Spencer Barefield - After the End on Sound Aspects, a German pressed LP from 1987, with Barefield on guitar, Oliver Lake on alto, Hugh Ragin on trumpet and flugelhorn, Richard Davis on bass and Andrew Cyrille on drums. Very hip cover of Thelonious Monk's "Raise Four"! And with another tune called "Escape from Bizarro World", how can you go wrong?

Happy Birthday Barry Harris!
Barry Harris plays Tadd Dameron - Xanadu Records, a 1975 recording with the trio of Barry on piano, Gene Taylor on bass and Leroy Williams on drums. Xanadu LPs show up from time-to-time in the used bins (physical or virtual) for reasonable prices. This Barry Harris is one of the good ones for those who like be-bop piano.

Dexter Gordon - Great Encounters
Columbia (LP), released in 1979 Side 1 has two tracks recorded live at Carnegie Hall, NY Johnny Griffin plays tenor with Dexter Gordon on "Blues Up And Down" & "Cake". These are the highlight from the album for me.
