So far I've only listened to the stock cable. The Seller did include a Canare balanced cable (2 x 3-pins at both ends) in the package to support my future upgrade to a fully balanced amp (Schiit Mjolnir).

Oh, and, I've "only" got the LCD-2

Extensive research in reviews of DACs led me to three that I thought I could be happy with. I looked at the Jolida Glass FX II, the NAD M51 and the Gungnir. The Jolida didn't have all the inputs, outputs or 24/192 capability of the Gungnir; and the Gungnir was compared to the NAD M51 (a $2000 DAC) so I bought the Gungnir. I haven't compared it by ear to any other DACs either. All I can say is that I'm perfectly satisfied with the natural, musical qualities it has. It's plugged in with a Sidewinder VTX which seemed to improve the sound in the typical Shunyata fashion as described by everyone in the Shunyata forum branch. If you get the Gungnir and the Alpha Digital as you mentioned in another thread, let us know if the Alpha Digital brings any major improvements over other cords.

I'm using a LessLoss DFPC on my Gungnir and am realy happy with the improvements that brought over the standard powercord. It's a bit overkill I guess to use a pc that almost costs as much as the DAC, but it brought the best improvement compared to using it on other components (only have one LessLoss pc at the moment )

I've been playing my Audeze LCD 2.2 now for a month and man do I love these cans.
They got so much deep and awesome bass
For me this is a whole new way of enjoying music, bit different form listening to speakres as everything is more situated between my ears, in my head so to speak, but still with real presure from bass and micro details that are less audible when listing via speakers, without getting listing-fatigue. I spend last night on the couch listing to Lana Del Rey with goose-bumps on my arms.

I also love that the "sound-signature" is very much the same as my Sonus Fabers.

Bad thing is that the upgrade-bug now also starts to pop-up in this part of my set. Next stop will be upgrading my Asgard 2 with a Schiit Mjolnir and with that dive into balanced headphone cable. Ahhhh well I guess there are worst things in life to worry about

Gert-Jan.......Looking good. I am enjoying more hours of headphgone listening than ever before since getting my new Sennheiser HD800 and the Sennheiser HDVA 600 headphone amplifier. I use mine in my office as well. Happy listening.

The latest step in my head-fi upgrade quest: A Schiit Mjolnir
Damn, this amp really makes my Audeze's rock. The Asgard 2 was a great amp, but this one is in a league of it's own. Really blown away by the performance of the Mjolnir and the match with the Audeze LCD 2.2
