Agreed on the size. It's huge and bulky. Disagree on the heat. It's a warm amp, which is to be expected with 8 KT-88's. But the amp does not run particularly hot under normal use.

Imagine, a limited edition MC2000 with updated features to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Tube clients.
I appreciate the Mc1502, but this next step might help sell more MC1502. I want to have meters on an amp to make sure that I am not overdriving the amp when I am having too much fun. I believe that I am not the only one and that most Mc owners have a similar perspective.

To get back to the tread. The MC275vi is fantastic, and I look forward to the update when it finally comes.

Agreed, I am surprised at how hot the MC1502 does not get. No meters on the amp so that is why my pre has meters - the C1100.

So, JDCheek, have you taken delivery on the 2102, and had a chance to listen? I always thought that was one of the best looking amps they made, with the tubes visible, having the meters and using the current design language with is classic, timeless (here we are 20+ years after 2001), modern and elegant.
I would love to see an updated version, although agree with Charles it is unlikely even if it would fill a niche in their product line that seems logical, although the fact it was discontinued would indicate it did not sell enough. When I got into the hobby its production run was nearly over and I wasn't in the market for a 100 WPC tube amp at the time, and never had the opportunity to listen to one. I bought a Prima Luna EVO 400 integrated a couple years ago for my office system, and if the MC2102 were still available, I would have seriously considered that in conjunction with a C2500 I have.

That's good to hear on the heat. I should have made it clear that this was my assumption based on it having 2X the tubes. Also, I am extra sensitive to heat since my amp is in my cabinet and I do not want it to activate my fan.

For meter owners--I agree they look cool, but when was the last time you said "Man, those meters saved my bacon!"?

Sentry Monitor[emoji769] short-circuit protection that disengages the output stage before the current exceeds safe operating levels and then resets automatically when operating conditions return to normal.
I forgot about this feature. Suppose the MC2102 was not a popular seller. That makes perfect sense. It is a beautiful design. Maybe a new MC75 mono in the form factor of MC901. I love that design.

Would also like to see the MC312 split into a pair of half-width monoblocks.

I was really worried about heat (living in the deep south as we do) but was nicely surprised to find it doesn't run that hot really. Mc did a superb job on this amp's design.
