Grand Tetons in Black and White

After several days of trekking out and shooting in and around the Grand Tetons all day long, I was feeling a bit lazy today while on vacation. Took my time getting up, did some domestic errands here at the condo in Jackson, went over to the local coffee house and surfed the net while I had my morning tea. Wasn't sure if I was going to out and shoot or not; Rush was playing at the cinema in town, thought I might take that in during the afternoon matinee.

As I headed into town where I thought I would dink around a bit doing some street photography with the rental Fuji X100S, the skies opened up and there was sun on the Tetons. I headed up north on 89, and there were some fantastic clouds this afternoon.

Came away with this. I still need to do some work on this, primarily the RAW conversion in Capture One rather than Lightroom 5.2, then the black and white conversion, but it's a decent starting point.



Just goes to show....if in doubt, go shoot. You never know what you might come away with.
