Default New Nikon lens is home....

Ordered an AF-S Nikkor 35mm 1:1.8G lens and received it this week end.

Cheap one ( 190 euros ! ) but for my poor talents, it is more than enough !
I love how fast it is and the ability to shoot in very low light.
Images are crispy and sharp to me.
A few samples, all taken in very very low light ( the images are more clear than what my eyes were able to see ! ) :

.
.

And, Jérôme, I was prepared for you to tell us about some huge, exotic, multi thousand dollar (euro), super zoom, do everything, but impossible to carry,
most incredibly sharp, very finest example of the lens maker's art.

Shocked I am that you would actually buy, and brag on, a truly affordable, little bitty, totally unimpressive looking, go anywhere, fast, but medium aperture, common as dirt Nikon lens . . . .

Which even I can afford to purchase - and, in fact, I did, and I love it. I use my 35mm f/1.8 as an almost everyday lens and carry it as my only lens when I don't think I'll need a zoom.

A great lens. I think you'll be very happy with it.

And excellent pictures you took with it too !

Jérôme.......The detail and sharpness of the Nikopn glass is astonishing. The skin tones on your daughter's face are flawless. BTW, she is growing into a beautiful young girl and will certainly be a lovely young woman soon. Keep a sharp eye on all those boys who will certainly come calling. They are all hound dogs.

Thanks a lot Dan ! They are nice kids.
I am really amazed at the quality of this little lens.
I was thinking about buying a little Fuji camera like the X20 but really my Nikon and this lens gave me the will to take more pics.

Nice, I used one recently.

I really liked its spot metering.

Also how the controls were laid out.

I hate having to go into the menu on my Canon 6D to change WB.
