I just picked up a NIB pair of 1038 Be II speakers and oh my how gorgeous they are to look at! Is it true that there is a break-in period before the sound quality enhances/improves? I have the speakers 'optimized' with my Denon AVR receiver which has Audyssey XT32. Not sure what it did exactly but I am a newbie to this hobby =)

Hi. Manufacturers and sales people say to break all speakers in and you'll notice an improvement. I doubt this claim because I have never heard any difference between the first time I open and listen to months later. Then they say that's understandable considering you're getting used to the sound at the same time. But I just don't agree with speakers sounding better after break in.
