Default Sonus Faber and Copland

Hi,

Has anyone tried to pair Sonus Faber speakers with Copland tube gear?
I own Amati Futuras and looking for amplifier. Had a chance for audition of Serafino with Copland CTA 408 new integrated. The sound was really good. Any other experiences?

Thanks.

Yes I had a Copland CSA28 integrated (milspec metal tubes in the output stage (?) if I recall correctly, otherwise SS) driving my SF Concertos until last year. Really nice sound never really disatified with it until the Moon integrated was tried in the system. It blew the Copland away, but at three times the RRP so it should.

Thanks MGW, my mentioned audition was A/B/C test of expensive Moon 700i, Prima Luna evo 300 and Copland CTA 408 paired with Serafinos. Copland and Moon outperfomed PrimaLuna. Of course, it cost twice less than Copland. And Copland cost twice less than Moon. But Moon and Copland was on the same level. Sounded different. Copland to my ears sounded more rich and with more excitement. A bit brighter maybe, which can be not to everybody’s taste.
Anyway, I recommend to try new Copland if you liked older versions. It is build around KT150 tubes.
