Minor nitpick, The Gigafoil V4 is a filter/noise reducer not a switch. It’s breaks the copper line of Ethernet inside into a fiber connection and reconfigures it back to copper/ ethernet. The concept being it strips the Ethernet signal of noise riding the wire.
It is digital 2.0 and not necessary to get started with your HiFi Rose If you are going to install a Gigafoil, best practice is to power it with a low noise linear power supply. Many use a Keces P3 or like product.
