I have to agree with new order and ronenash. I have not been excited about a new Sf model since they released the Elipsa SE. I also hate to see the word "lifestyle" pop up so many times in recent interviews and press releases...

Not feeling it either. I am not a fan of the polished metal and baboon face color scheme.

They've been part of a big corporation for a long time now.

This is the mini Aida we've all been waiting for. It looks very modern and in line with the latest design of SF. It's more shiny and fashionable than the previous one which were more conservative.

I need to see it in person. The Aida looks wonderful but the Venere and Olympica are not really my cup of tea.

I still believe that my Elipsa SE has the best look except for the Strad !

Now, it is the sound that matters the most and I've never been more moved by a speaker than by a SF. It's more than sound with SF, it's emotion. I hope they have kept that.

Yes, You are right. It is the sound that matters. Have You heard the Ktęmas?
Franco Serblins last floorstander. Odd looking at first, but the look grows on You.
And they also sounds great.

My dealer had a pair but I never listened to them. They seem to be highly valued but the look did put me off. They are not as beautiful as the one SF used to make. Oddly enough, they are closer to the current SF look (dark wood, matte finish,...).

He still has the bookshelf one in demo. Maybe I'll ask for a demo some day.

I was fascinated over the creativity Franco had, when I saw the Ktęma the first time. with S.F he introduced the lute shape that almoust every other speaker manufacturer have copied. I suspect he couldn´t use that to the new project and took his inspiration from ancient Greek amphitheatres and the way acoustics travelled in them. I like the way he thought, Find inspiration in something like that and try to realize it in a speaker. He must have been one of the most significant Speaker constructer that has walked the earth!
