Does the present situation mean that there will be no more online support for the Harmony remotes?

I have a Harmony One and experience no lag time unless it is programmed to give sequential time for the components in a system to work together. If you are having problems with this issue, I would give Harmony support a call. They have helped me before when I have had issues with my ONE which I use in my home theater system. Just a warning though that you might be charged if your Harmony is not new. I cannot remember how long after buying one of their remotes that one gets free tech support.

I owned the One and the 1100 and loved both with no issues. I heard this might be happening and its sad that it is.
I also think that a big problem was getting their name out. When I had a friend buying an AVR from best buy he asked about remotes and the guy said they didn't really do much with the harmony's and to just use the remote in the box. Best Buy used to be a big player to help with these but I think as time goes on people want to spend less and less on the "remote" because they don't understand the value of it. Also not really getting their name out there is a problem. I don't recall ever seeing a commercial in print or anywhere really for the remotes.

I'm using the Harmony 900 and I'm pretty happy with it, once you can make it work.
This is good news as Logitech has completely left Harmony on the side for the past couple of years (no software update, no new remote for quite some times, ...). It is almost impossible to make the setup work on a mac, the ipad remote is a POS whose require an internet connection to work (ie you need internet to up the volume, why ?). |

900 here. My gripe is lack of software updates. Switching activities is an issue if you have a trigger sensitive configuration. When adding a device to an activity, I don't want the IR power codes sent for that device as it is managed by the pre-amp & processor trigger ports. Therefore in some situations, components get power cycled during an activity change. I wouldn't mind moving up to a more sophisticated universal remote.
Mind you, the CATV button artwork on the icon harmony website is great for your favourite screens. |

I've been using the harmony 300 and it's been working like a charm. It was very simple to program. I control 3 devices with it.
