Esoteric S-03 Stereo
Has anyone had any experience with Esoteric S-03 Stereo amp?
I am thinking of this to replace my Manley Labs 250 Neo Classic,s... Since changing my front end over from Manley Labs Pre/Phono and adding the K-03 i am very impressed with the Esoteric line. Currently am am using the Manley 250 Neo Classics , but since getting the Esoteric gear i prefer my old Krell KSA 250 for amplification...hence my interest in the Esoteric S-03 Amp. Any input appreciated.. My new Front end..

Well i have the S-03 and it has exceeded my expectations.
The S-03 is a dramatic improvement on my Manley Labs 250,s and also my classic Krell KSA250. The S-03 has the power and dynamics of the Krell, but with a very "organic" sound. Very very happy with the change to this amp...

Well the S-03 is proving to be one of the best upgrades i have put into my system.
I had a few friends over on the weekend and we did an extensive comparison of various amps...everyone was blown away by the S-03! One friend who is very familiar with my system previously commented that he didn,t think the "Duntech,s" could sound any better, now with the S-03 in the system he said they have stepped up another level again! The S-03 has incredible dynamics and seems to be able to separate various instruments and passages. On very fast/cluttered tracks it is now easier to take it all in and hear the various parts of the track.....it doesn't "smear" like most other amps i have used. Power wise i am also surprised , it rating of 145w @ 8ohm / 290w @ 4ohm / 580w @ 2ohm seems conservative... The S-03 seems to drive the Duntechs as easy as did the Krell KSA250 which is a real powerhouse...even today. I was worried that this being Esoteric,s"Bottom" level amp it may be a real compromise, but it has far exceeded my expectations..
