If you have a chance just see if your dealer has a pair of Monacle XL's to try, they sort of fall in the middle of the entire range, more or less. I demoed those a few years back and they made me a believer in cables can make a difference. At the time they were tested with a pair of Paradigm Reference Studio 100v2's. If someone had of switched my speakers I would have been none the wiser, the difference was that dramatic.

Thanks for recommending those. They would be a bit over my spending limit; but I've passed that limit before.
I really need to quit auditioning the "next level up". It keeps putting my bank account in peril. Of course, playing music after a new upgrade makes me forget what I spent while I'm

No prob. After that experience I didn't buy them as I also couldn't afford them at the time but it was a very useful and informative experiment. The Monacles according to Kimber are made up of 2 separate conductor types, those of the VS and TC series which I thought was interesting.

I adore Kimber cables. I have a 12TC and a Monocle XL. The 12TC has the one the best CP in audio. I am also using ks1026 and ks1021 IC's.

I am very happy with my KS3035 speaker cables!

Also running 8tc for my rears, sounds great even over a 20' run

I have Bi-Focal XL's and will never part with them, they handle bass like no other cable i have tried and do everything right with the mid range and treble.

an awesome cable from an awesome company, plain and simple......without all the hype.

I have the KS3033 speaker cables and the 1011's (2 pairs) from my source to pre and power. I just love these cables, and have not looked back after introducing them into my system about 3 years ago. To me they sound very neutral and let the other components do their work.
Finally got off the cable upgrade wagon with these.
Cheers,
Sid

Use Wasatch, which were a 2 or 3 engineers/techs that came out of Kimber in the '90s and made some nice cables. But, but like many folks in this business did not stand on their own long-term. Believe they were absorbed by Zen, who is also in Utah. Have 0.5m Kimber Silver Streaks for my phono preamp to line preamp run and use PBJs for non-critical RCA runs from vintage tuners. Good sounding and well made products.
