I've always like ML; no, haven't heard these yet.

I've always enjoyed ESLs and hybrids... But ML always had a wonderful image/depth when you are in that sweet spot.
Unfortunately, so many are not set up properly. :\ They aren't the most forgiving of speaker brands in my experience. My only "meh" with ML would be needing added lower end, even on the big hybrids. Grain of salt: I am a basshead.

I was guided via ML to use the flashlight feature on my iPhone, turn the lights out and position the angle at the inside quarter.
I do experiment with the setbacks/distance from walls. Very interested in your thoughts as you are a pro. |

I think Martin Logan has finely designed a speaker that raises the bar on aesthetics for ESL's. The Neolith looks unusual while at the same time looks outstanding.
Martin Logan has quite a pallet of color choices for the Neolith. I like the Cordoba Red below.

The side view looks kind of like the new Nordic Track

"Generally it is found that the ideal listening position is with the speakers slightly toed-in so that you are listening to the inner third of the curved transducer section. A simple, yet effective method to achieve proper toe involves sitting at the listening position, holding a flashlight under your chin and pointing it at each speaker. The reflection of the flashlight should be within the inner third of the panel (see figure 5)." If the inner quarter works best for you then that's that but it isn't what they recommend generally for their speaker placement. No disrespect intended. |
