I'm embarrassed to post this in light of the awesome set-ups I've seen on this thread. But nevertheless, here goes.

There is no reason at all for embarrassment. The Concept is an excellent table.

Thank you, Dean. Some friends came over the other night, we played some music and I was reminded about how good it can sound.

Here's the latest addition to my rig.

I swapped out the Clarify arm on my Ovation for a significant upgrade to the Magnify tonearm. I just mounted it a couple days ago, but Initial impressions are it adds improved bass control, much better definition and weight in the midrange and improved soundstage. It is also far more stable. It takes a lot more to disturb/upset the arm and when that does happen (like when a large truck drives by outside) it recovers instantly and is barely perceptible.

Officially, this arm is under audition, but assuming I can make a good deal for it I think it will stay.

In playing with a Magnify on an Innovation Compact, my impressions of it are very positive. I wasn't a fan of the Clarify, especially since we don't have concrete slab floors here.

It looks fantastic on your Ovation! I'm definitely a big fan of the black aluminum w/ Panzerholz styling. I encourage your upgrade

I put a 4" Mapleshade isolation platform under my Performance DC/Clarify, which in turn sits on a built in cabinet, which in turn sits on a wood floor (likely over slab concrete), so no problem with footfalls or vibrations here. But if the Virtuoso cart hits a dust speck, there can be hell to pay!

Rotated 30 degrees on top of my rack; otherwise, the cartridge and 10" Graham armwand hung precariously out past the front edge.

A big hats off to Joe Wessling of Musical Surroundings and my dealer, Music For Pleasure in St. Louis. I purchased the Magnify arm for my Ovation today. This is a huge upgrade over the Clarify I had, and they made the deal a very fair and irresistible one to me. The tracking on this arm is much better, but the sound is improved too. The bass is tighter and it provides a lot more weight and warmth to the midrange.

I'm very happy with my turntable. It sounds just amazing.
