Is all Pink Noise equal?
Are all Pink Noise signals the same? The one I am using states "Stereo-Pink Noise (Uncorrelated)". This is from an old IASCA comp CD.
Another CD The Digital Domain has several samples 1. Pink noise @ -26dB with emphasis 2. Pink noise @ -26dB with no emphasis 3. Pink noise @ -46dB with emphasis 4. Pink noise @ -46dB with no emphasis Says in the description: The use of a spectrum analyzer will show both the acoustical and electrical response of your system. These tests will indicate how well the automatic emphasis/de-emphasis tracking of the Compact Disc machine functions and if playback response changes related to level. I understand level of course, but not clear on emphasis/de-emphasis. Help please... Also, what CD are you using for a Pink Noise source? |
