Default Just ordered Everest DD-67000

Got a deal I could not pass up. I had Everest DD-66000's for about 18 months, sold them and missed them. I heard the DD-67000 at January CES and was impressed at the refinements JBL has made. A flatter more linear bass response with more snap and definition, an overall more neutral tonal balance that is slightly less forward over the broadband midrange and possibly even a smooth top octave. It could have just been the setup, but they also seemed to imaged with a bit more focus. I have not received them yet so I will post impressions after I get them hooked up and some break-in time on them.

Congratulations. I'll be following this thread for developments.

Just curious, why did you sell the DD66000s (aka 66s)? Was there something unsatisfying to you? I ask because I am in discussions with a dealer about traveling out of state in order to audition the Everest models. The dealer has the 65s and the 67s on display but the 66s he has in stock are unpacked. I was thinking the 65s and 67s would be close enough to the 66s for audition purposes. Maybe I'm mistaken. But I'm actually thinking about the 66s because I'm guessing they are going to be substantially less expensive. Thoughts?

Post pics or it didn't happen...

Just kidding...

Very cool! Congrats! I wish I could have afforded those, so I had to make due with the S4700s. Either way, JBL Synthesis is a nice investment. Like a lot of audio products, not monetarily speaking, but musically and sound wise!

I too look forward to your review and pics.

What are you driving them with? Amp, preamp, etc...
