Does anyone know what SFA on the Accuphase DC-91 means? It has L1, L2, L3. I only get L1 and rarely get L2. Never had L3. Is it timing which means i need to add a reclocker/master clock for better timing?

Which one preamplifier is better C 2120 or C 2410? Any difference? Is it worth paying more for C 2410? I think it’s also older generation than C 2120. Thanks for all opinions.

I'm looking for a reliable, warmish-sounding SS integrated to use as back up for my sometimes "needy" vintage tube separates.

After trying a number of different integrateds, both SS and tube, I've narrowed my interest to either Accuphase or Luxman. My budget is $9000, preferably less. I am not willing to spend enough to get a Class A Accuphase, and as of recently Luxman has stopped producing the more powerful 590Ax integrated, but is still making their other Class A integrated, the 550AXii, which leaves mostly used units if I feel I need the more powerful unit. (fine by me)

My speakers are Sonus Faber Guarneri Homage. I listen to everything at low volume (rarely exceeding 75db) in a small dedicated room. My musical tastes are eclectic save for metal, rap, hip hop, etc, and my focus is primarily jazz old and new, classical, large scale or chamber, "world" music, electronic music,....

I'm streaming more and more, but still have a Linn LP12 so an adequate LO MC phono stage is a plus but not essential.

I appreciate any suggestions and insights.

If used is an option, then an Accuphase E-650 for around $7500 would be right up your alley. Add an AD-50 phono stage to it and you're set.

Assuming you are interested in new and Accuphase, the E280 is likely the best/only option. That would leave room to buy a high-quality external phono stage. At the current US price for the Accuphase phono card I think there are better options unless you must have a single box solution.

Thank you both for your suggestions. I will investigate. Truth is, with regard to vinyl, I find myself streaming, most of the time, and instead of a phono stage, I'd be more interested in a better DAC. My Jolida Glass FX isn't at all bad, for the money however.

Jolida makes good equipment but in the 1500 - 3000 price range there have been a lot of great DACs released in the last few years. On the organic side there are brands such as Merason and Borderpatrol or if you prefer transparency, Chord and Denafrips. Accuphase has a dedicated DAC card if you want to go with a single box solution. The great thing about Accuphase is it has a house sound leaning towards a slight warmth with the ability to extract the dimensional space out of the recording. Beyond that it presents your source as is, so you should definitely hear any upgrade you make to your DAC.

Thanks again- I've got a lot to think about. Accuphase is looking better and better to me, with or without their DAC card. I'm happy with Qobuz/Audirvana so am not too interested in a streamer.
