How does it compare to 300B and others? It has balanced inputs and outputs (unlike 300B), has a remote (unlike Reference) so it sounds pretty tempting to me used. Any impressions?

I regret that I have never heard it. I use the 300B preamp and will never part with it. There are some rumors of there coming a new Manley DAC/preamp in 2014 :-)

No you are sure not the only one..
If Manley would have created a Big Reference preamplifier with Steelhead and NeoClassic 300B in one (ofcourse with separate PS) I would be on the list and prepaid already. I like my Steelhead and 300B very much, but Evanna should bring out the new WAVE/TURBOT Pre/DAC in two choices, either as dedicated full blown phono OR the full blown DAC version. Further I see no big market for this DAC version.. Although it may sound Very good, and sure trust that ![]() I'm SACD fanboy, and always had one box players, will never change that. Keep It Simple. So i'm no potential for the WAVE/TURBOT preamp/DAC i'm sorry. Great looking though !! ![]() |
