Curiosity is my friend

I have two pair of headphones; Sennheiser HD650 and Audeze LCD3. I use them with the phone Jack on my Mc C2300 Jack and they audibly seem to play well. I am curious what I may be missing by not using a dedicated headphone amp such as the Bryston BHA-1. Any feedback, suggestions, and opinions are welcomed and appreciated.
