OLED blues
Hi Gang ,
My 5ish year old LG OLED has a major burn in issue . it has what is called the green blob. I did a factory reset and the noise clearing per the LG service team. I did a yellow screen test and a red one and both show burn in.  . LG service team said it was out of warranty so i could get it fixed . From what I have read it may cost as much to fix as a new tv I am thinking the SONY Mini LED may be the way to go what do y'all think?I have 20k hours on the OLED they are supposed to last 100k I think. I have always owned Sony's and never had an issue with any of them . Sony always seemed to have that dead nuts on out of the box natural flesh tones.

I would personally go with a 77" LG C3 to avoid the garbage Android OS in the Sony A95 AND save a ton of money.

My Sony 65" 4k (XBR65X850C) is now 8 years old, it's been trouble-free and the picture still looks great. Yes, the Android OS isn't the greatest, but if you use an Apple TV you rarely have to interact with it, so it's a non-issue.

No problem with Android on our Samsung TV (its starting to burn after 8yr, so I see a Sony in our future). Wife prefers the Apple OS and I'm happy to let her run the TV. Like Tony, a non-issue in our house.

LG is the leading pioneer in OLED. If I'm not mistaken, believe Sony rely on LG panels to manufacture their own OLED TVs. Both have gorgeous picture quality but the Sony further excels with their processor chip engine.
2007 Sony XBR plasma still running pristine in kids room, zero issue. 6 year-old Sony XBR 900F series with Android still runs flawlessly. Wife prefers built-in Android over Apple TV. Ivan is a dealer for both Sony & LG TVs. Don't think you can go wrong either way.

Never owned an LG but now own a Sony after dealing with my Samsung for multiple years. Replaced caps and attempted fixing screen separation on the Samsung which was well known issues that Samsung would not stand behind. I will not buy anything made by Samsung again. Sony going strong after 6 years.

I'm on the other side. I have Samsung since the plasma days. I still have my old
50" plasma in my bedroom, coming close to 15 years. My year and half 65" 8K is running flawlessly. I think it should be between Sony and Samsung.

I’ve had a bad experience with a Sony. Sony refused warranty - though it was less than a year old (lines thru TV). We have LG for the last three years, works just fine.
