Hi everyone, I have another question about the N-05XD: I'm thinking of upgrading my chain around it to make it sound even better. For approximately the same budget, I have two options:
- as discussed previously, I could add a really good master clock like the Mutec REF10 120 or the TOTL Cybershaft unit. I could use these to also clock my Uptone Etherregen which should help too. - Or, I could get a Grimm MU1 and send the data to the N-05XD directly via AES. I've read that the Grimm doesn't need a master clock and can sound even better than one. In that case I'd bypass the Etherregen and have a two box solution (MU1/N-05XD) and no external clock. Which one would you advise to go with for the best sound quality upgrade? Thanks

I just got the N-05XD. I have not had time to set it up yet. I am very interested in what you do to improve its performance. I plan to use me Shunyata Sigma power cord right off the bat.
